Meet Connie Talbot ✨
Joining us at bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham!
We’re delighted to announce that Connie Talbot will be headlining YV26 in Birmingham as part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations.
Connie first joined YV as a child guest artist and has since gone on to perform around the world and build a global fanbase. Now, she’s returning to the YV stage – as a headline performer.
We caught up with Connie to talk about her journey since YV, and what it means to be part of this milestone year.
What’s it like coming back to Young Voices as a guest artist for the 30th Anniversary?
Coming back to Young Voices 2026 is such an honour! It feels like coming home. I was lucky enough to be a guest on the YV tour when I was just eleven years old! I'm excited to come back in 2026 and sing with all of the Young Voices superstars – it’s going to be so much fun.
Can you remember your first YV performance? What stuck with you the most?
I remember feeling butterflies about the huge size of the arena, but I was also super excited! The feeling of performing with thousands of other voices behind you never gets old, and I’ll always cherish those special moments.
How did being part of Young Voices help shape your journey in music?
YV helped me develop an even deeper appreciation for music. From the incredible musicians in the band to the variety of music styles in the show, I was exposed to so much. It definitely influenced the type of music I create today. Performing in big arenas also made me realise music is what I wanted to do forever.
What advice would you give to kids singing with YV for the first time?
Nerves are a good thing – it means you care! Turn those butterflies into energy for dancing and singing, and you’ll have the best time. Just enjoy it – that’s what matters most.
If your younger self could see you now, what moment would make them proud?
My younger self would be so happy that I’m still singing and loving music – and being back at YV, which was one of my favourite childhood memories ever.
If you could describe Young Voices in just three words, what would they be?
Energy. Appreciation. Togetherness.
